July 4th is the perfect time to get together with family and friends to celebrate our nation’s independence. Break out your best red, white, and blue outfits and join us in the Motor City as we share our favorite spots to celebrate 4th of July.
Salute to America

Greenfield Village
Settle in for a 4th of July celebration with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra complete with games and of course lots of holiday themed food from local chefs. There will be a concert each night featuring the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the United States Army Field Band, Concert Band, and Soldiers’ Chorus. There will be an authentic cannon at the end of the night with fireworks to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Remember to bring folding chairs or blankets because seating is not provided.

Nothing quite brings the community together like the annual fireworks display at Whitmore Lake. Check out the DJ, games, and activities that will take place before the fireworks. And don’t forget to go back July 4th for the Independence Day parade.
